Of Caribbean origin, this plant has a medium to low vigor, reaching a height of 60-70cm, and requires very warm environments for optimal development. It produces numerous pendant fruits shaped like lanterns with thin flesh, about 4 cm long. At maturity, the fruits reach very high levels of spiciness. It is suitable for consumption either fresh or dried.
